NHTSA campaign 15V555, reported September 2, 2015, 7,855 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016 Volvo vehicles built between April 8, 2015 and August 19, 2015 may experience a blown starter motor fuse under some driving conditions when the automatic engine stop/start function is used. If the fuse blows, the engine may not restart when needed, such as when stopped at an intersection in traffic, which increases the risk of a crash.

Volvo will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the existing starter motor fuse with a higher amperage fuse at no cost to you. The recall began on October 26, 2015. You can contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-458-1552 or visit volvo.custhelp.com, referencing recall number R39574.
