What this recall means for you

An ignition wire on certain Vulcan 1700 Voyager and Vaquero motorcycles may chafe against the fuel tank. This can cause a short circuit and possibly stall the engine while you are riding.

An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take these motorcycles to an authorized Kawasaki dealer, where the repair is free of charge. Dealers will install additional shielding and padding to keep the ignition wire from shorting, and any ignition switch with damaged wires will be replaced.
