What this recall means for you
Certain motorhome chassis built between March and June 2006 may have rear tag axle wheel bearings adjusted too tight. Over time, this can cause the bearings to overheat during use.
Overheating wheel bearings create an increased risk of a wheel end fire, which can damage the vehicle and create a safety hazard while driving. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked.
The repair is free at an authorized dealer. Dealers will adjust the wheel bearing load and replace the bearings if needed. Owners may also contact Spartan Motors at 1-800-582-3454. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your chassis is affected.
