Terex Aerial Devices Recall 15V512: Outriggers May Drift Under Load, Risking Platform Falls

NHTSA campaign 15V512, reported August 13, 2015, 386 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

These aerial device and digger derrick trucks may have a vertical cylinder and outrigger assembly issue. When loaded, the outriggers can drift, which may cause the work platform to fall.

A falling platform could seriously injure the people on it or bystanders nearby. Operators and anyone working around these trucks should take this risk seriously.

Owners will be notified by Terex. Authorized dealers will install an orifice and replace the affected valves at no cost to you. You can contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000 (recall SN619), and you can check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
