Palomino Palomini Recall 15V487: Axle Camber May Be Installed Upside Down, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 15V487, reported August 5, 2015, 23 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2015 Palomino PaloMini vehicles built between November 14, 2014 and July 23, 2015 may have axle camber components installed upside down. This can cause the axle tube to appear bent downward toward the ground when the bend should point up toward the unit floor.

A mispositioned camber may contact a tire, a spindle, or other components, which can lead to fracture or failure and increase the risk of a crash.

Forest River will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect and reposition any mispositioned cambers at no cost to you. To check whether your vehicle is affected, contact Forest River customer service at 1-269-432-3246, and check your VIN for open recalls.
