Fleetwood Southwind Recall 15V434: Motorhome May Lack Emergency Exit Window in Bedroom

NHTSA campaign 15V434, reported July 7, 2015, 32 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2015-2016 Fleetwood Southwind motorhomes, built between April 16, 2014 and June 19, 2015, may have been manufactured without an emergency exit window on the road-side bedroom wall. The bedroom is missing a required way out in an emergency.

If the vehicle has to be evacuated in an emergency, an occupant's exit may be delayed or prevented, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should not wait for a problem to occur before having this checked.

Allied Recreation Group, Inc. will notify owners of affected vehicles. Authorized dealers will inspect the motorhome and, if needed, replace the road-side bedroom wall window with an emergency exit window at no cost to you. To check your vehicle or ask questions, contact ARG customer service at 1-800-509-3417 and reference recall number 150625ARG. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
