What this recall means for you
Certain 2011-2015 Dodge Journey vehicles built between July 19, 2010 and May 26, 2015 with 2.4L engines may have an engine cover that can come loose from the engine. When this happens, the cover can contact the exhaust manifold.
If the displaced engine cover touches the exhaust manifold, the risk of a vehicle fire increases. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked as soon as possible.
The repair is free. Dealers will install an improved mounting system for the engine cover at no cost to the owner. Chrysler will notify affected owners, and you can also contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
