Honda Pilot Recall 15V424: Third-Row Seatbelt May Be Trapped, Risking Less Protection

NHTSA campaign 15V424, reported July 6, 2015, 1,358 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2016 Honda Pilot vehicles built between May 4, 2015 and June 5, 2015 may have an assembly problem in which the third-row seatbelt gets trapped between the rear seat and the rear sideliner. A trapped belt may not hold passengers in that row properly.

If the third-row seatbelt is trapped, occupants may not be restrained properly in a crash, which increases the risk of injury. Honda will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will inspect and repair the third-row seatbelt free of charge. You can also contact Honda customer service at 1-310-783-2000 and check your VIN for open recalls.
