What this recall means for you
Some 2014-2015 Acura MDX vehicles built between April 23, 2013 and December 16, 2014 may have air conditioning compressor clutch drive bolts that did not receive the proper anti-corrosion coating. Over time, an uncoated bolt can corrode and break, which may allow the compressor clutch plate to separate from the vehicle.
A detached clutch plate could become a road hazard for you and other drivers. Check whether your vehicle is included by entering your VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup or with an Acura dealer.
If your vehicle is affected, take it to an authorized Acura dealer. The dealer will replace the air conditioning compressor clutch drive bolt and install a new clutch plate if needed, at no cost to you. You can also contact Acura client relations at 1-800-382-2238 with questions about this recall.
