Dynamax REV Recall 15V397: Front Head Restraints May Fail to Protect Against Rear Crashes

NHTSA campaign 15V397, reported June 23, 2015, 2 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2015 vehicles built in late November 2014 may have front seat head restraints whose backset exceeds the 55mm federal limit. Because of this, the head restraints do not fully meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 202a for head restraints.

If the vehicle is struck from behind, the head restraint may not properly limit how far the seat occupant's head moves rearward, which increases the risk of injury.

Owners will be notified by Forest River. The front seat head restraints will be replaced free of charge at an authorized dealer. You can also contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 ext. 212, and check your VIN for open recalls.
