Heartland Torque Recall 15V381: Trailer label may be missing axle weight rating, risking overload

NHTSA campaign 15V381, reported June 16, 2015, 34 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016 Torque travel trailers, built between May 11 and May 29, 2015, may have a Federal Certification label that is missing the gross axle weight rating (GAWR). Without this information, the trailer's operator may not know the axle weight limit and could load the trailer beyond it, which increases the risk of a crash.

Authorized dealers will replace the incorrect certification label with a corrected label at no cost to owners. Owners who have not yet been notified can contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032 and reference recall number 99.01.22. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
