What this recall means for you
Certain 2015 Highland Ridge fifth wheel trailers built from May 7, 2014 to June 4, 2014 may have a rivet on the quad entry steps that can shear and fail. The steps may then give way while in use.
If the rivet shears under the weight of a person using the steps, the steps can collapse and the occupant may fall, which raises the risk of injury. Owners of affected trailers should stop relying on the steps until the repair is completed.
The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will remove the rivets and bolt the step sections together at no charge. Highland Ridge will notify owners, or you can call Highland Ridge customer service at 1-260-768-7771 (recall number 9904242). You can also check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
