Open Range Residential Recall 15V302: Propane Line Can Leak When Kitchen Slideout Is Extended

NHTSA campaign 15V302, reported May 22, 2015, 47 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The flexible propane gas line serving the kitchen slideout section is too short. When the kitchen area is expanded, the line can be pulled too far, which may cause a gas leak.

A gas leak creates a risk of fire. Owners of affected trailers should stop relying on the kitchen gas appliances until the repair is completed, and should not use the slideout in a way that stretches the line. The repair is free: an authorized dealer will replace the existing gas line with a longer one at no charge. Highland Ridge will notify owners on behalf of Open Range R.V. Company, and owners can also contact Open Range customer service at 1-260-768-7771. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is affected.
