Chevrolet Colorado Recall 15V267: Seat May Not Be Anchored, Raising Crash Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 15V267, reported May 8, 2015, 49,980 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2015 trucks built between January 2014 and April 2015 may have seat-frame attachment hooks for the driver or front passenger seat that were not properly secured to the vehicle body during assembly. This means the seat may not be adequately anchored, and the vehicles do not meet federal seating safety requirements.

If the seat is not properly secured, it may not stay anchored in a crash, which could increase the risk of injury to the seat's occupant.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seats and correct the installation if needed, at no cost to you. Owners can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, referencing GM recall number 15150. You can also check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
