What this recall means for you

A component called the abutting wedge, attached to the door jamb to help the doors open after a severe frontal impact, may have been installed incorrectly on certain vehicles built between July and October 2014.

If an affected vehicle is involved in a severe frontal crash, more force may be needed to open the doors, which could increase the risk of injury to occupants trying to get out.

Owners should check their VIN for open recalls and contact an authorized Sprinter dealer, who will inspect the abutting wedge installation and correct it if needed at no cost. Owners can also call Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0437 with questions about this recall.
