- Problem
- Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2007-2012 XLII, X3-45, H3-41, H3-45, and H3-45 VIP vehicles manufactured July 5, 2007, to May 11, 2012. The affected vehicles may be missing a fuel line locating clip, allowing the fuel line to rub against the braided coolant hose.
- Risk
- The fuel line rubbing may result in abrasion and a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
- Remedy
- Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel line for abrasion, replacing it as necessary, and will properly secure the fuel line and coolant line, free of charge. The recall began on March 26, 2015. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-418-883-3391. Prevost's number for this recall is SR15-04.

What this recall means for you
Some diesel fuel systems on these buses may be missing a fuel line locating clip. Without it, the fuel line can rub against a braided coolant hose, which can wear through the fuel line and cause a fuel leak. A fuel leak raises the risk of a fire.
The manufacturer will notify owners. Authorized dealers will inspect the fuel line for abrasion, replace it if needed, and properly secure both the fuel line and the coolant line. The repair is free of charge. The recall began March 26, 2015.
