Prevost X3-45 Recall 15V107: Driver seat belt may not lock in a crash

NHTSA campaign 15V107, reported February 24, 2015, 38 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2014 commuter coaches built between October 2014 and January 2015 have driver seats where the seat belt retractor may not lock as intended when the seat is in the full-back position. This affects coaches equipped with Recaro-brand driver seats and a two-point seat belt with an inward-facing retractor.

If the retractor does not lock, the driver may not be properly restrained during a crash, which increases the risk of injury.

The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the seat belt and reconfigure it to provide the needed clearance. If you own an affected coach, contact Prevost customer service at 1-877-773-8678 and reference recall number SR15-308. You can also check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
