IC Bus Cesb Recall 15V084: Wiring may rub fuel line, risking fuel leak and fire

NHTSA campaign 15V084, reported February 11, 2015, 6,302 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2015-2016 IC school buses built between October 2013 and March 2015, the powertrain wiring harness can contact the high pressure fuel line for one of the fuel injectors. Over time this contact can cause a fuel leak.

If the high pressure fuel line leaks, fuel may spray into the engine compartment, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and have the bus inspected and repaired as soon as possible.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer. Dealers will install an additional harness saddle and cable tie strap to provide proper clearance between the wiring and the fuel line. Navistar will notify owners directly, and you can also contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825 (recall number 15501). Check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
