What this recall means for you
Certain 2007 Nova LFS transit buses built between January 1 and December 31, 2007, may have two wires reversed in the antilock brake system (ABS) connector. When this happens, the ABS may be disabled, so the brakes will not have antilock protection.
Without a functioning antilock brake system, the risk of a crash is increased, particularly when braking hard or on slippery surfaces. Owners of affected buses should take this seriously and have the vehicle checked.
The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the ABS connector and correct the position of the wires where needed. Owners can contact Nova customer service at 1-450-472-6410 with questions, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
