Terex HI-Ranger Recall 15V058: Work platform may rotate without operator control, raising injury risk

NHTSA campaign 15V058, reported February 3, 2015, 305 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2013 Terex Hi-Ranger trucks built between July 12 and December 26, 2013, a bearing installation problem can cause the platform rotate cylinder to separate from its brackets. When this happens, the platform can rotate without the operator controlling it.

An unintended platform rotation increases the risk of injury to people working on the platform. If your truck was built in this window, stop using the platform until the repair is completed.

Terex will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the rotate cylinder at no cost to you. To confirm whether your vehicle is included, contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000, and check your VIN for open recalls.
