ATV TRAILER ON HIGHWAY IN TOW WITH ATV SECURED. ONE OF 5 RAMPS SUDDENLY FELL OFF TRAILER WHILE IN MOTION. SPOT WELDS ON RAMP PINS FAILED ALLOWING HINGE PINS TO WORK OUT AND FALL UPON ROAD AND RAMP DROPPING TO ROAD. 3 PINS APPX. 8" LONG AND SEVERAL POUNDS DROPPED TO ROAD WHILE IN MOTION AND 3'X4' APPX. SIZE RAMP DROPPING TO ROAD. UNKNOWN IF PINS HIT OR DAMAGED ANYTHING AS I WAS TRAVELING. RETRIEVED RAMP AND TWO OF THREE PINS. POOR WELDS BROKE ALLOWING PINS TO WORK THEIR WAY OUT. UPON INSPECTION OF PINS AND HINGE BODY I FOUND SPOT WELDS WERE POORLY DONE AND NO ANGLE OF WELD ON PINS WERE MADE-JUST SURFACE ADHESION. INSPECTION OF REMAINING PINS SHOW WELD STRESS AND EVENTUALLY WILL FAIL. HAVE N
