My 2007 Pontiac G6 GT 3.9 l convertible has the same issue that a lot of the other g6s had with the Passenger Airbag Sensor (NHTSA 07V-146).
When driving the vehicle on the highway the vehicles steering wheel started shaking lightly and then all of a sudden the steering got hard and locked up the power steering and it also put a message on the stereo display saying âpower steeringâ. I was able to pull aside of the highway and turn the car off and then back on. That seemed to reset it but the steering wheel kept shaking on its own. I drove it to the nearest car mechanic and explained the problem. I was told itâs very common on the Pontiac G6 and that there is a recall for this issue. Now unfortunately when we look up the car by VIN it says it doesnât have a recall but the mechanic and myself have done research and thereâ
