What owners report
Vehicle erratically adjusts suspension with the left dramatically higher then lower than the right side of the car all while in the middle of traffic. Received message of ABC Chip Malfunction.
THE WIRING HARNESS INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CRACKS CAUSING A SHORT, WHICH IN TURN CAUSES THE HEADLIGHTS TO STOP WORKING. THIS HAPPENED TO US DURING A LONG DISTANCE TRIP AT NIGHT. THESE HEADLIGHT ARE NOT THE TYPE OF HEADLIGHTS YOU CAN PICK UP AT YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE AND CAN ONLY BE REPLACED WITH OEM PARTS. A WIRE HARNESS IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AND AT OVER $1,900 PER LIGHT ASSEMBLY, MERCEDES BENZ SHOULD BE REPLACING THE HEADLIGHTS WITH THE DEFECTIVE WIRING. THE POSSIBILITY OF THESE LIGHTS GOING OUT AT NIGHT (IT HAPPENED TO US) AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT IS REAL. I HAVE PHOTOS, BUT THE WEBSITE IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO LOAD. THE BROWSE BUTTON DOES NOT DO ANYTHING...
