I HAVE PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN TO YOU UNDER REFERENCE #10429043, FOR A LEAKING GAS TANK. CHRYSLER HAS SINCE BLOWN ME OFF AND NOT ADDRESSED THIS RECALL OR SAFETY ISSUE. I NOW CARRY TWO FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN THE CAR AWAITING THE IMPENDING EXPLOSION AND/OR FIRE. IN ADDITION, CHRYSLER TOOK MY CAR TO THEIR BAYSIDE JEEP DEALERSHIP AND CHARGED ME $217.75 TO INSTALL CLAMPS ON (I BELIEVE) THE GAS LINE. THAT LASTED ABOUT 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE LEAK STARTED AGAIN. [XXX] (NO LAST NAMES ARE GIVEN) FROM CHRYSLER ADVISED ME THAT THEY WOULD REFUND MY $217.75, WHICH WAS NEVER DONE. TODAY, I READ AN ARTICLE IN THE NY DAILY NEWS THAT CHRYSLER IS DODGING THE RECALL BY THE NHTSA ON GAS TANK PROBLEMS WITH MANY YEAR
