The contact stated that the front driver's side tire exhibited a crack on the side wall. The contact stated that on various occasions, the tire pressure was low and required adding air frequently to the tire. Additionally, the contact then stated that all four tires exhibited cracks on the sidewall, causing him to inflate the tires daily. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed there were no nails in the tires. The tires were not replaced. The tires were replacement tires. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS). AFTER CONTACTING HENDRIX GMC (1127 KENTINGTON DR, DURHAM, NC) AND THE MANUFACTURER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL REMEDY WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES. DOORS LOCKS AND WINDOWS DON'T ALWAYS WORK. SOMETIMES WHEN I SHUT MY CAR OFF IT DIES. LIKE I CAN'T TURN IT BACK ON. RUNNING BOARDS DON'T GO UP, CAN'T LOCK IT, NOTHING. DEAD. THEN 15 MINUTES LATER IT'S FINE. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING, IT'S LIKE IT'S CUTTING OUT, NOT GETTING ENOUGH POWER OR DIFFERENT WARNING LIGHTS WILL RANDOMLY FLASH. I JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE WORKING PROPERLY. I'M JUST AFRAID SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. WE ALSO USE THE YUKON TO TOW A TRAILER. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DEPEND ON IT. THE SHOP CAN NEVER DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND THEY JUST LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M CRAZY.

TAKATA RECALL THIS RECALL HAS BEEN OPEN FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS. GM HAS NOT ADDRESSED IT AND PEOPLE ARE DYING. WHY HASN'T THE NHTSA OR SOME OTHER REGULATORY AGENCY HELD GM ACCOUNTABLE? I UNDERSTAND THAT GM HAS APPLIED AND BEEN DENIED 2 TIMES SO FAR TO GET OUT OF ADDRESSING THIS RECALL? THEY ARE WAITING ON A DENIAL FOR THE 3RD APPLICATION? I AM OUTRAGED THAT GM HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS WANTED DISREGARD FOR SAFETY.
