PARKING BRAKE DID NOT FULLY RELEASE AND AFTER A COUPLE HOURS OF DRIVING, THE DRIVING DRUM EXPLODED. *MR THIS WAS A DRIVESHAFT MOUNTED PARKING BRAKE BOLTED TO THE BACK OF THE TRANSMISSION DIRECTLY NEXT TO IT WAS A FUEL FILTER WHICH WAS TORN OPENED AND IGNITED AND CAUSED A BRIEF FLASH OF FLAMES BUT HAD GONE OUT. (CREATED A SEVERE TWIST TO THE DRIVESHAFT/TRANSMISSION HOUSING JUNCTION THAT THE TRANSMISSION CASE CRACKED) THE SECOND INCIDENT WAS SIMILAR. *SCC *JB
DRIVERS SIDE SEAT COLLAPSED. NLM
THE VEHICLE STALLS DUE TO FUEL PUMP FAILURE. YH
CONSUMER BROUGHT VEHICLE TO GM DEALER FOR RECALL REPAIRS (99V-025), MECHANIC REFUSED REPAIR, BUT HAD THE PART #12450076 FOR REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, ANOTHER MECHANIC GAVE CONSUMER INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL PART, CONSUMER REPLACED PART HIMSELF. *YC
RECALL REPAIR (99V-025) NOT ABLE TO BE COMPLETED DUE TO DEALER PROBLEMS, SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WHEN PARTS WERE NOT IN. MJS
