The contact stated that while driving at 55 MPH, there was an abnormal noise and noticed that the vehicle's windshield wiper and blinkers had become inoperable. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had been diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty wiper transmission linkage, a relay, and a switch. The relay and switch were replaced however, the wiper transmission linkage was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that parts were not available. The failure mileage was approximately 110.000

I was driving at 75 MPH on an Interstate Highway. The 3.3 liter V6 engine, with 120,800 miles on it, threw a rod and cracked a 3 to 4" diameter hole in the block. I have cared for this car religiously for 14 years. It had full oil level. It is available for the next couple of weeks for examination if desired. I was able to get off the highway onto the shoulder safely.
