What owners report
1500 4X4 I PURCHASED A 1996 DODGE TRUCK, AND UP UNTIL NOW I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I HAVE REPLACED ALMOST EVERY SINGLE FREEZE PLUG ON THE ENGINE EXCEPT FOR THE ONES ON THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE. THESE FAILURES HAVE ALL BEEN WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER. I EXPECT THE FRONT ONES TO FAIL IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. I HAVE TALKED TO A FEW MECHANICS, AND THEY SAY THESE SHOULDN'T BE WEARING OUT AS FAST AS THEY ARE.
CONSUMER RECEIVED MFR RECALL LETTER IN JAN. OF 97, THEN CONTACTED DELAND DODGE OF FLORIDA FOR REPAIR DATE, WHICH WAS SET FOR 1/97. CONSUMER HAS GONE BACK A NUMBER OF TIMES TO DELAND DODGE ABOUT REPAIRS FOR DEFECTIVE SEAT BELT BUTTONS AND HAVE NOT HAD REPAIRS DONE YET AS OF TODAY. DELAND DODGE 2322 S. WOODLAND BLVD.
