TRANSMISSION APPEARS TO HAVE SHIFTED INTO REVERSE WHILE TRAVELING FORWARD AT 45-50MPH. RESULTING IN MAJOR ENGINE/TRANSMISSION FAILURE. WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC IF THE REAR WHEEL HAD LOCKED UP INSTEAD OF FREEWHEELING. HAD THAT HAPPENED WHEN A VEHICLE WAS BEHIND ME IT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF SLOWING DOWN AS I CAME INTO A TOWN AND HAD ALREADY DOWNSHIFTED FROM FIFTH TO FOURTH. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DOWNSHIFT FROM FOURTH TO THIRD A LOUD BANG HAPPENED THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND LUCKILY THE MACHINE COASTED OFF THE ROAD. TWO DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED THE BIKE WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. I PULLED THE CODES AND IT HAD SET A U0155 CODE. I CONTACTED THE MIDLAND TX CANA
