On our 2026 Brinkley Z3200 fifth wheel. our trailer brakes & tail signal lights ceased working with zero warning, due to a defective retaining clip that holds a plug into the ABS Module. We experienced complete failure on a trip over XXX in [XXX]. We pulled over immediately and engaged CHAT GPT for help. We learned this is a KNOWN, COMMON defect in the ABS Module produced by Lippert Corrp. CHAT GPT provided us with the ABS Module location, how to access it and the temporary repair to correct. We were instructed to insert the disengaged plug into the module and wrap it with tape to hold in place. The retaining clip is known to break, due to road vibrations and allow the plug to disengage,
Rear Axle of the tandem-axles became loose/damaged and came off the RV-trailer. When that happened, the trailer tracked side-ways into traffic on I-80 Eastbound,
prior to every trip i make i do a pre trip inspection .
