THE 5.7 HEMI ENGINE IN THIS DODGE RAM 1500 IS FATALLY FLAWED IN THE VALVE TRAIN, LEAVING FAMILIES STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN BAD WEATHER. THE CAM ROLLERS DO NOT GET PROPER LUBRICATION AT IDLE, CAUSING THEM TO LOCK UP AND DESTROY THE CAMSHAFT. THE LIFTERS AND VALVE SEATS ARE ALSO DEFECTIVE, CAUSING THE VALVE SEATS TO FALL INTO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER, DAMAGING THE PISTONS AND LOSING COMPRESSION. THE MDS SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY FLAWED AS CYLINDERS THAT TURN OFF TO INCREASE FUEL ECONOMY DO NOT TURN BACK ON WHEN MORE POWER IS REQUIRED. ALL IN ALL, THIS A TOTAL FAILURE AS AN ENGINE DESIGN AND CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF IT AS THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS, PROBABLY THOUSANDS OF PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE
TRIED TO SET UP APPOINTMENT WITH MOBILITY WORKS, MY LOCAL BRAUNABILITY REPRESENTATIVE WHEN I WAS TOLD THE THEY COULDN'T SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR TIME AND PARTS. SO I CALLED BRAUNABILITY THEY IN TURN TOLD ME NOT TO CALL BACK, THEY WOULD SCHEDULE AND NOTIFY ME. NOW THAT ALMOST A YEAR HAS PASSED I RECEIVE A " SECOND NOTICE" ENCOURAGING ME TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL THAT THEY WOULD NOT SCHEDULE LAST YEAR
