TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 (NA) ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE HOOD RELEASE SENSOR INDICATOR SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED. THE HOOD LATCH MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE HOOD TO OPEN AND SHATTER THE WINDSHIELD GLASS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
