Dodge Durango Recall 26V701: Tail lights may fail, reducing visibility to other drivers
What this recall means
Certain 2026 Dodge Durango vehicles may have damaged terminals in the tail light wiring harness. This can cause the tail lights to fail, and the vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
Tail lights that do not illuminate properly make your vehicle harder for other drivers to see, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own an affected vehicle, check whether your tail lights work and keep an eye out for owner notification letters, which are expected to be mailed December 3, 2026.
Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies as necessary, free of charge. You can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 and reference recall number A2D. Affected VINs will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 29, 2026, so check your VIN there for open recalls.
